TRIERES workshop illuminates local hydrogen ecosystems

The TRIERES hydrogen valley workshop, titled "Hydrogen Innovation for Regional Growth: Enhancing Mobility and Local Value Chains – The Peloponnese Case," was successfully held in Agioi Theodoroi, Corinth. The event was organized under the auspices of the Region of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi.

The workshop served as a vital platform, gathering over 90 in-person participants and more than 60 online attendees from 28 countries. This diverse group comprised representatives from various institutions, industry, academia, and public bodies, all united by a common objective: to explore the potential of small-scale hydrogen valley solutions and the role of green hydrogen within local and regional contexts, specifically referencing the Peloponnese Region and its mobility sector.

The agenda featured four focused panel discussions that delved into critical aspects of hydrogen development:

  1. Building Hydrogen Economies at Local and Regional Level
  2. Hydrogen Mobility
  3. Driving Impact through Policy and Regulation
  4. Hydrogen Technologies and Infrastructures

The workshop concluded with practical demonstrations and networking opportunities, including:

  • A field visit to the first AVIN hydrogen refueling station (HRS) in Agioi Theodoroi
  • A networking gala at the iconic Corinth Canal
