SH2AMROCK hydrogen valley project kicks off with first in-person meeting in Galway

December 2024

The SH2AMROCK hydrogen valley project, a collaborative effort led by the University of Galway, marked a significant milestone last week with its first in-person meeting in Galway, Ireland.

This 28-partner consortium, spanning 13 countries, has been awarded €7.5 million in funding from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. Their ambitious goal? To establish Ireland's first green hydrogen valley between counties Offaly and Galway.

The project focuses on decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors like public transport and trucking. This initiative has the potential to revolutionize Ireland's energy landscape and contribute to a cleaner future.
